Three Healthy Overnight Oats Recipes – bqbhearts FOOD

Hello beauties,

If I have some extra time in the evening, I love to treat myself and my fiancé to pre-made overnight oats for the morning. They are not only delicious, but healthy and filling as well. They take a little longer to eat than a shake, but we enjoy eating them together and chatting about our days prior to beginning them. The only special items you need for these oats is a container or mason jar to store them in and some protein powder for extra nutritional value!

Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats: My personal favourite, of course! You need…
– 1/3 cup of rolled oats
– 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk
– 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
– 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
In the morning, add 1 tablespoon of almond slices and 1/2 of an apple cut up into small pieces. Stir it up and enjoy!

Cinnamon Berry Oats: You will need…
– 1/3 cup of rolled oats
– 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk
– 2 tablespoons of almond butter
– 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
– 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
When you want to eat them, stir in some berries of your choice (I like blueberries and raspberries for the simplicity of not having to cut them up!) and a tablespoon of almonds. Either smash the berries into the oats to create a pastier option, or leave the berries whole to create a more textured mix!

Pumpkin Pie Oats: Just to add something a little fall-ish onto the list… Can you tell it’s my favourite season? You will need…
– 1/4 cup of rolled oats
– 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
– 2 tablespoons of pumpkin (I use pureed from a can, but home-pureed works as well!)
– a dash of cinnamon or pumpkin spice (or both!)
– 1/2 a banana sliced
– 1 tablespoon hemp hearts
You can add any nuts or seeds that you love in here, as well. I love pecans or walnuts in this mix!

Any of these oats can be transformed into warm oatmeal by replacing the almond milk with hot water, if that appeals to you more. I like mixing it up, but the convenience of having breakfast ready to go when I wake is ideal for my lifestyle!
